Week 2
During this week i started to learn more about different stocks and i started to research companies to try and make better investment decisions. i also learned how to short stocks. At the beginning of the week i invested in MTW at $4.95. My decision was made souly on the fact that they were at the lowest they have been in 3 months. I figured they would start to go up, but this was not the case. I stayed in this stock for a week and a couple of days. At the same time i shorted CHK at $7.37. I made this decision because i read online that they would go down because Total energy acquired
75% of CHK's shares. This stock continued to go down and i made quite a bit of money on it.
Towards the middle of the week the new iPhone 7 came out, i made a good decision of shorting apple stocks. I did this because people want to see something new, and the iPhone 7 did not have anything substantial new on it. The most exciting new thing was the new colors. This stock also made me a bit of money. later in the week i made another bad decision of investing in ACHC at $53.18. At first it was good as it went up to almost $55, i should have sold when it was up becuase it started to drop and continued to drop for almost two weeks.
At this point i was close to even, as i was making money off of APPL, and CHK and losing money on ACHC and MTW. At the end of the week i covered my short on APPL and CHK because they both started to go up. I also should have sold MTW and ACHC but i stayed in them as they dropped even more. At this point i went back into the red because i had no source of making money.

Week 1
In the past week, i have become familiar with the basics of the stock market and the trading of stocks. During this week i invested in the stocks that i was familiar with and avoided those i did not know. As the week passes by i started learning more about how the stock market works and learning how to read the stock charts. Closer to the end of the week i started getting familiar with more stocks to widen the range of my investing.

I was still blind investing, i did not know what i was doing. My only strategy was to invest in the stocks that were going up. This strategy did not turn out very well for me as i invested in some stocks that were at their peek and dropped substantially.
My first investment was Fitbit. this was not a good decision as it was at its highest its been in weeks, it then started to drop and i thought it would go back up but it continued to drop. i lost about $3,000 dollars in this investment. i then invested in a stock that i saw in the news which was EPD. this stock helped me a bit to make around $1000 dollars.
On Sept. 6 i made a bad decision of investing in NUGT which is a gold stock. this was a bad decision because i did not know anything about gold stocks and how a lot of the markets effects the outcome of the gold stocks. I lost a good amount on NUGT that day and i quickly sold them.
